return.

And I'm going to blog.  For reals this time.  What have I done?  I made some shawls:

 Stripe Study, designed by Veera Valimaki.  Knit in Cascade Heritage.

Flukra, designed by Gudrun Johnston.  In Rowan Kidsilk Haze.  I love Gudrun's designs; I am seriously considering knitting every one of her sweaters.

I knitted some other things too, but no pictures yet.

I got kick ass leggings from Domino Dollhouse!  Seriously, chubby girls looking for galaxy leggings, get over there now before they sell out again.

Let's see if I can keep this up.

Rooibos Sewalong

Speaking of Colette Patterns, I just joined the Rooibos Sewalong!  I think this is the perfect dress both for fall and my office job.  I'm thinking about making it in a gray chambray or wool with yellow piping and contrast fabric.

Carrie Bostick Hoge

Carrie Bostick Hoge is frightening me a little.  Everything that she designs is so spot-on, so perfect, that I think she might be inside of my head.  The knitwear she designs is the knitwear I dream about.  Yes, I dream about knitwear.

 These are the three designs I need to knit right now.  I'm not even going to get creative and change the colors on the first two.  I have some lovely Quince and Co. yarn on it's way to me right now!

Things I Love Friday

Let's kick this blog off with some things I'm loving this week:

 Like everyone else on the internet, I am currently smitten with friendship bracelets.  I have my first one in the works right now, and am busy scheming up color schemes for more!  I'm using this tutorial, which is excellent, and Grainline is having a friendship bracelet swap that I'm thinking of joining!  You can sign up here.

I just received a White Slim Angel, which is a reproduction of the Vivitar Wide and Slim.  It's a completely manual, all plastic 35mm camera.  I can't wait to try it out!  I'm just waiting for a bright, sunny day.

And finally, Brooklyn Tweed has curated a gorgeous collection of knitwear that has me wishing for chilly days and autumn leaves.  I'm itching to cast on for this sweater and this cowl.

That's it for this week!  I'll be back soon with some projects I've been working on!
